Balance Your Practice: Day-Long Retreat

Saturday January 23rd 9-5pm at Santosha Yoga, NH

Intensive practice is important! It allows us to settle into our bodies and minds in a way that may not be possible in a 90 min yoga class or a 30 min sitting practice. This non-residential program provides students with an opportunity to enjoy a full day of immersive yoga and meditation practice without heading to a far-off location.

We will spend time practicing both yoga asana and Buddhist meditation with space to discuss the benefits and integration of both practices. This program is open to all levels, however, at least 6 months of yoga practice is recommended.

While New Years Eve is certainly a great excuse to gather with friends and party, it is also an important opportunity to rest, reflect and celebrate the year that has passed. Furthermore it is a time to practice gratitude for the years successes and challenges. Join Ryan and take the time before heading out for the evening festivities to practice yoga - in all senses of the phrase. This will simply be a well-rounded, breath-centered practice in appreciation of the year passed and the one ahead.

Unwind. De-stress. Restore.

Saturday December 12th 12:30-3:30pm at YogaWorks Back Bay

The more we practice, the more we realize that the various layers of the body carry residual tension from our everyday lives, past experiences and even traumas. While the reasons for stress may be complex, some of the simple tools we refine through the practice of yoga can be incredibly useful at providing relief. In this extended restorative we will utilize yin postures, pranayama, therapeutic exercises and restorative poses to unwind and unravel these layers.
