This program serves to provide additional professional training/practicum beyond the student’s 200hr Teacher Training program. The hope is to continue the valuable feedback and support that students receive in the Yoga Studies Course (or other training) in a small group environment.

Yoga Teaching happens in a variety of different settings. This program is specifically interested in improving the skill of teaching a group class consisting of meditation, breathing and movement exercises.

Schedule (88.5 hrs of class time)

Orientation - 3.5hrs

Saturday January 12th 4-7:30pm

Practicum - Saturdays 4-7:30pm - 56 hrs

January 19th - June 29th

Retreat days (no practicum on these dates) - 29 hrs

Saturday, February 8th 12-8pm

Saturday, March 16th 12-8pm

Saturday, April 27th 12-8pm

Saturday, June 29th 12-8pm

Practicum Sessions

Each student will teach at least two 90 minute classes to their peers - and anyone else they wish to invite - and receive feedback both from Ryan and the group. Feedback will segue into a relevant pedagogy discussion. Any outside participants who attend, will not be present for feedback.

4-5:30pm - Practicum Class

Each Student will get to teach at least (2) 90 minute classes over the 6 month program. Outside participants are allowed to attend by invite.

5:30-6:30pm - Feedback

Each Student will receive feedback on their class from Ryan and their fellow students.

6:30-7:30pm - Teaching Topics

Topics: Pedagogy, Meditation, Pranayama, Philosophy, manual assists etc

Retreat Days

Good teaching arises out of consistent, thoughtful practice. There will be four retreat days throughout the program in order to support each student’s practice. These retreats will be focused less on learning new skills and more on providing a immersive container for practicing yoga.



12-1:30pm - Initial Mediation period

Savasana -> Sitting -> Walking -> Sitting

1:30-4pm - Asana Practice

4-4:45pm - Break

4:45-5:30pm - Pranayama

Led Pranayama Practice

5:30-6:30pm - Meditation Period II

Sitting -> Walking -> Sitting

6:30-7:30pm - Self Practice Period

7:30-8pm - Savasana


Tuition Includes membership at Bow Street Yoga.
