Join Ryan for an afternoon of retreat-style, immersive practice at Bow Street Yoga. The purpose behind these mini-retreats is to attempt to gain understanding and integrate our practice of meditation with the practice of yoga asana. For 2017 the 4 retreat days will focus on understanding the Four Foundations of Mindfulness ( a Buddhist framework ) through the practices of mediation, asana, pranayama and critical thinking.
For the final retreat day of the year we will focus on how we can use our meditative awareness and ability to think and reflect to support both our practice on the mat as well as our lives off the mat.
10-11:30pm Meditation + Asana Practice*
11:30-12:30 pm Lunch break
12:30-2pm Meditation + Talk/Discussion
*10am class is open to the public as well.
Students should bring a notebook, water bottle and eye-covering.
